
I started writing when I was still cooking in restaurants: if I remember correctly my first article was on honey for a beautifully produced British supermarket magazine. Over the course of the years, I’ve profiled chefs, reviewed restaurants, developed recipes and commented on the intersection of pop culture and food. (And there was that one time I wrote about my test-drive of the same kind of full-body swimsuit Michael Phelps wore in the Beijing Olympics, but sports are not usually my beat.)
