Details: It’s January and time to think about fresh approaches to healthy eating. One of Seattle’s most accomplished food writers, Sara Dickerman, author of Bon Appetit: The Food Lover’s Cleanse, will be here to lead a class on her favorite tips to make delicious flavors work for your health and well being.

Planned snacks are key to keeping your mind and body satisfied until dinnertime. Sara will share a recipe for a gorgeous Spicy Carrot Dip that works as well at a birthday party as it does eaten from a Tupperware container in the office lunchroom.

It can be hard to shift the side-dish focus from white flours, pasta, and rice, but doing so can limit cravings and ultimately make you feel more satisfied with a meal. White Bean Salad with Pomegranate and Parsley is a wonderful way to bring bright flavors to the darkest winter days.

And finally, Sara will show you how a multitasking condiment can work in more than one context to simplify healthy eating. She will prepare Salmon with the Greenest Tahini Sauce, Shaved Radishes, and Cucumbers, and also present it with roasted root vegetables to demonstrate another option for the flavorful, verdant sauce.
